"Unfortunately we checked out early due to damp and mold in two of our rooms (room 111 and 214). I would avoid at all costs.
Positives: 5min from Rotterdam station. Some people might find it a quirky hotel and appealing because of this. But I totally disliked it.
Negatives:
1. No lift so you have to carry cases up many akward steps. 2. Mold and damp in rooms. 3. No ventilation as windows didn’t open. 4 Breakfast only had a continental option. 5. Unhelpful staff. 6. When the room upstairs...

"I enjoyed my stay but I think it's more of a 3 star than 4 star hotel. I booked a king bed and found the room very narrow with the bed wedged up to the window and only accessible from one side - ok if youre a solo traveller but it's inconvenient as a couple. Generally the place felt clean- apart from the noodles someone had tipped down a sink in the ladies toilets. Breakfast was just ok - for expedia/hotel to say its popular with solo travellers & then for the hotel to only offer a breakfast...

"Room was great, very clean, comfy bed.
Customer service was lacking unfortunately.
Check-in was slow but ok. The girl at the desk mentioned a new system being the cause of the delay. There were a few people waiting but only one person behind the desk.
Checkout was actually terrible.
We left early, about 6am. The girl behind the desk had headphones on and didn't remove them until we were right at the desk (she did see us coming). I had to tell her the room number three times in the space of 5...

"If you book a Pod you have a 2 single mattress bed, 5 foot up, near the ceiling up a ladder. There is barely any space for 1 person to stand. There is nowhere to sit and I would not stay in a Pod again. There was no kettle in the room and none was available. The communal showers and toilets were clean as was the whole hotel.
