This hotel was just a few blocks from Euston train station. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. We had breakfast down the road at the Noxy which had good coffee/espresso and breakfast bagels as well as pastries. The next morning we took the train to Heathrow, which took us about 50 minutes, but dropped us off right in our terminal. This was the new Elizabeth Line…lovely, air conditioned train:)

The staff were so kind and helping. I was a bit shocked that there was no air condition in the room. Besides some coffee places no good places to eat near the hotel. You need to walk like 10-15 min to get to the tube stations.

The hotel is in a very convenient location and very close to Central London by tube. The staff were very polite and attentive, and the surrounding area was generally quite safe, for London.

Great hotel close to lots of attractions. Beautiful bar/restaurant on site with lots of dining options close by. Shower was amazing, incredible water pressure. No AC, but fan in room so was fine. Would highly recommend for location.

For a central London hotel this is very good value, the staff are very friendly and accommodating and the rooms are a decent size (again, this is London....). Easy to get to by bus or Underground. Nice bar and restaurant in the hotel. Definitely recommend.

We thought the Tavistock gave very good value for money, given that it is a London hotel in walking distance from St Pancras, King’s Cross and Euston stations. From our experience and previous reviews, the rooms are quite small, but adequate. If you are staying in hot weather, be aware that there is no air on in the rooms, though a fan is provided. After reading about this, we requested and were given a first-floor room, rather than risking higher floors, which have been described as hotter still. The breakfast choices were excellent, with a wide range of fresh hot and cold foods available. I’d say that if you can’t find something you like there, it’s you that’s the problem, not the hotel! We were impressed by the willingness of the Hotel to store our luggage both before check-in and after check-out. This was systematically done, with a formal receipt for the bags matched to tags on the bags themselves. Staff were exceptionally accommodating and happy to accede to reasonable requests rather than ‘upsell’ everything; eg after eating out one night we just wanted two soft drinks in the bar to sit and chat - we had a soda water and a blackcurrant squash for £2.90 - in London! Note that there is a water chiller to fill your water bottles for free at the end of the bar, too.

The staff at Tavistock Hotel were absolutely outstanding! Extremely welcoming, willing to help and polite. The room was very spacious with excellent views. We will definitely be staying again very soon!! Thank you ☺️

Like stepping back in time - wonderful lobby. Staff couldn’t do enough to help. Room comfy. Bathroom a bit ‘tired’ and definitely needed a new shower. Old hotel but would benefit from air conditioning!

The twin room was spacious, clean and with very comfy beds. Loved the variety of options at breakfast. Staff were very welcoming and courteous. Will definitely stay again when in that area.

The staff was great, and the room was very small. We selected a king bed and the foot of the bed basically touched the table. Literally a half inch in between. And the shower was very narrow, so water was constantly getting on the floor.

The front desk needed more staff. Also, there was no one to help with our large, heavy suitcases, and that may have been because there weren't enough staff at the front desk. Everyone was very polite, though.

Some rooms face busy streets with a fair amount of outside noise. It's not terrible and didn't bother me, but something to be aware of. The rooms were clean and well organized for space efficiency. The staff were kind and very helpful. I would stay here again.

No AC, somehow I missed this part, or it was never shown, so recommend anyone to check the review from the month that you will be traveling. So if you are going in Jun then check the reviews in Jun or July then you might see the no AC reviews. As for me, I booked the trip in the winter month and all the recent reviews didn't mention anything about AC and how warm the rooms can be. However the breakfast is excellent and the AC in the dining room is very strong. Area is very convenient however since the window is wide open, the street noise is unavoidable. Good value if you don't need the AC.

(English below Japanese) 計3泊、公園を望む客室で快適に過ごせました。スタッフもフレンドリーで、日本人の利用も多いそうです。 ▼良かった点・地下鉄ラッセルスクエア駅から徒歩5分。ユーストン、キングズクロス、セントパンクラス駅や大英博物館も10〜15分圏内。・チェックイン前後の荷物預かりがとても助かりました。（ロンドン2泊＋オックスフォード1泊＋ロンドン1泊の行程で、オックスフォードにいる期間中に重いスーツケースを預かっていただけた）・客室＆バスルームとも清潔で、タオルは毎日交換。・ベッド枕元にコンセント＆USBポートあり。 ▼留意点・ロンドンでは通常仕様ですが、客室にエアコンはなく扇風機のみ。・猛暑日は室温が下がらない。フロントで一筆書くと、窓をフルオープンしてもらえて一気に快適に。・トイレを一度流すと、次に流せるまで時間がかかります。・パジャマや歯ブラシはないため持参が必要。・ハンガーはクローゼット内固定式。外に吊るす場合は私物の持参を。 --- I stayed at this hotel for a total of 3 nights. The room overlooked a park, making for a very comfortable stay. The staff were generally friendly, and I was told the hotel is popular among Japanese travelers as well. [What I especially liked:] - Great location, 5 minutes from Russell Square Station. Major Stations like Euston, King’s Cross, and St. Pancras, and The British Museum are within 10-15 minutes on foot. - The hotel kindly stored my luggage before check-in and after check-out. I had a London-Oxford-London itinerary, and they kept my suitcase during the Oxford trip. - Clean room and bathroom, with daily towel changes. - Convenient charging USB ports by the bed. [Things to keep in mind:] - Like many London hotels, rooms have no air conditioning, only a fan. - In mid-July, the room got quite hot. The window opened only slightly, but signing a waiver allowed full opening! - Toilet tanks take time to refill after flushing. - No amenities such as pajamas or toothbrushes. - Hangers are fixed inside the closet.
