Located in a nice area. We felt safe. There were nearby restaurants that served delicious, reasonably priced food. The staff was cordial and helpful. Although the room was clean, the entire carpet was heavily stained. I’m sure the carpet was clean because it didn’t smell bad.

The Beverley Hotel offers an ideal location for Central London for the cost conscious traveler (especially those traveling solo). With 24/7 front desk it allows for the late check-in sometimes necessary. The rooms might be small, but this is reflected in the good price. The staff are nice and the rooms very tidy and clean. There are many restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The hotel is only a short walk from Victoria Station.

Highly recommend staying here. The Beverly was able to accommodate storing our bags when we arrived early in the morning from our flight while we started our trip to London. The underground and bus lines were easily accessible to the hotel only a few minutes walk to each. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was kind and very helpful. We look forward to staying again when we come back!

This hotel felt very dated overall. The room was poorly maintained, with uneven floors and worn carpet that was heavily stained and even sticky in spots. The mattress was uncomfortable and felt old, and while the bedding wasn’t dirty, it was clearly worn. Maybe except for the top blanket. The room was extremely small, even by London standards, and the bathroom was even smaller. I could also smell cigarette smoke coming through the vents from a nearby room, which was very unpleasant. Travelers should note that the hotel has no lift, so reaching upper floors requires climbing many stairs and would only suit very mobile guests. Younger solo travelers on a tight budget might tolerate it, but families and older travelers should look elsewhere. Overall, I felt the room pictures on Expedia are incredibly misleading and this does not deserve a 4 star rating. From a location perspective, it’s not near anything. However, Victoria station is about a 10 minute walk in which you can grab the tube almost anywhere from there. Transport options are ample.

Good clean room, on the small side but that was expected from the photo - no complaints. However, the radiator wouldn't switch off as it wasn't clear how to reduce or increase the heat on the dial. The front desk staff member kindly came up to my room and helped, having to switch it off completely for the night because they also couldn't figure it out. Otherwise, no issues.

My stay was all around great. The room was perfect - spacious & clean - with a great shower. Staff was super helpful & genuinely nice with a good sense of humor. Location was excellent with many attractions, restaurants & pubs in walking distance. Also, Victoria Station & 3 tube lines within a short walk. Safe & quiet neighborhood.

AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS We stayed for one night en route to France. We were given a basement room which was small but adequate for 1 night only. It was clean but had a slight smell in the shower room. During the night this smell (like raw sewage) became unbearable and at 3am we reported this at reception. The person at reception came to the room and agreed that it was a dreadful smell. He tried to help by offering to clean the en suite which we declined as it was already very clean and the fault was that it was clearly coming back through the extract ventilation system. ( I am a retired Architect and have had experience of this before). We were offered another room, a single room, where we could escape the smell but could not sleep, as it only had one small single bed. We are in our seventies. We left at 6am by which time the same smell was occurring in this second room. He said he had fully reported the situation to the hotel manager, who was coming in later that day. I ask if we could have a full refund. He said that the hotel manager would contact me later. Surprise, surprise no communication forthcoming despite my e-mailing him the same morning and a later follow up. Apart from the man on reception, who tried his best, the other staff who tried to help on other matters also had limited authority to assist us. The hotel owner/s appear to set customer comfort at a very low bar.
