The hotel has cctv and a small lift. The communal carpet on my floor was dirty. My double bedroom room was small and very basic, with an extremely cramped toilet and shower area. The shower was so compact it was nearly impossible to step into. The room had a window which I could open or close. It also had a wardrobe, side table and a television which I did not use . There were no tea making facilities. The bedding was clean, and I generally slept well due to minimal traffic noise. However, despite being advertised, the hotel does not have air conditioning and rooms are not soundproofed. I complained to my 3rd party booking provider about the false advertising on their website and received a refund. Additionally, upon check out, if you wish your luggage to be stored, the hotel will charge. The hotel reception staff are both friendly and professional.m My room was as basic as you can get. Given this information, it’s entirely up to you if you wish to stay, taking account of the price charged per night and the location. In short, you get what you pay for.

5 minute walk from Paddington. Pretty bad, like maybe they run some illegal business and the hotel is a front. Worst bed I've ever slept on. But it had a good shower in the room and many London hotels have only shared bathrooms. I saved 40 dollars and I'm still doubting that that was worth it. But the shower was nice.

This property does not match the pictures on line. Mattress was in horrible condition, you could feel every spring. Walls needed a good clean, shower had mold in it, back of toilet was discussing, shower didn’t drain. TV was broken and was told it was going to be repaired, never happened after 3 days. Walls are paper thin and you can hear the bowel sounds from other rooms. Would not recommend.

This hotel was basic, but lacking in comfort. The radiator in the room had the heating turned up to max, with the adjuster knob broken off so there was no way to turn it down. The window was open the entire night but this made no difference. Window was covered in plastic blind which was made from tarpaulin-like material. Toilet seat had fallen off, electric sockets didn't work and the carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. Pillows were very uncomfortable and I was awakened 4 times during the night by other guests banging on the door looking for their rooms. In short - I'll never stay here again and advise others to book elsewhere.

Good location. No staff was present when I arrived to check in. Room was in fine condition. Garbage was left behind the bed, inbetween the bed and the window. No toilet paper or hand soap in the bathroom.

When I arrived at the hotel and went into my room it was filled with black mould which I find a serious health and safety hazard especially for an establishment where you’d have people pay to stay. This is completely unacceptable and I will be dealing with this properly.

The rooms were relatively smaller and over priced, there were no tea making facilities in room or common area, the TV had no signal. Shower pan was flooded when having shower and the hose was leaking at the shower head and hose interface. It is the customer's responsibility to inform the Hotels.com website of any issues experienced otherwise these issues shall continue for future customers at the Craven Hotel.

Paid £70 for a double bed. You would think with a double bed that the room would be a reasonable size. It was a single room and you couldn't swing a cat. It had a private bathroom, again not big enough. The room was very worn, marks on the wall. Bed was okay but overall I would not stay here again.

If I were 20 years old again and traveling with friends, this hotel would have been fine. The rooms were extremely small and I couldn't even turn around in the shower. Young people wouldn't mind; I did.

The room was not cleaned properly- there is drink bottles and cups and trash under the bed and behind the headboard. Hot water takes 5 min to start, no floor towel for the bathroom so you come out of the shower to wet tiles, heating cranked up to maximum so we had to have the window open all night as you can't reach the gauge to close the radiator behind headboard, mattresses way too soft to sleep on so you just sink in, poor quality pillow and carpet looked like it hasn't been vacuumed in a while. No glass provided so you have to either buy water or drink from your hand over the sink, shower too small and hight not adjustable, no hairdryer, only small pouch shampoo provided. Will never stay there again. For the price they didn't even provide essential.

The rooms aren’t just dirty, they are actually filthy. Tried to change rooms, but the second room was just as filthy, including the bed sheets. It was obvious that the only thing that had been done was emptying the bins. A large hole in the wall was, believe it or not, covered by two A3 peices of paper. Luckily we barely stayed in the room. The only thing that is positive is that the location of the hotel is close to Paddington stadion in case you come by train from Heathrow, and Lancaster gate Underground is fairly close to Oxford Circus. But this does not change the fact that this is the absolute worst hotel i have ever stayed at. Stay away, the low price is definetely not worth it!
