"I booked this hostel back in January 2026 and when I arrived for my July stay I was told that they've introduced a new age limit policy for dorm rooms and you now have to be under the age of 40 otherwise you have to book a private room. They made an exception in my case because I had booked this prior to the new age discrimination policy being put in place. As of July 14th the property details on hotels.com don't mention the under 40 yrs old rule for Dorm rooms and I'm just highlighting this in my review for other people who are over the age of 40 so they are aware not to book dorm rooms. I hope the hostel owners rethink this ridiculous new policy"

"I have stayed here many times for work. Nice to see that the rooms have had a bit of a refurb. Good AC in the room (I stayed 2 nights during heatwave) & bed v comfy. The rooms are quiet but not soundproof (you’ll hear corridor noise) Hairdryers have an automatic cut-out so they only work on hot for 2-3 mins then stop, You have to wait another 5-10 mins for them to work again. Useless for styling long hair. There was only 1 lift working for the duration of my stay, and there are much better breakfasts to be had on nearby Bermondsey St, but the location is v good and I will book again."

"Cleaning in our 3 rooms was sporadic Towels taken away were not always replaced Cleaning folks not paying attention to soap, shampoo and conditioners We ran out on 2 items Need a major training course for the cleaning staff Everyone else in the hotel was terrific"

"Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The Room Service, front desk staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. We also really enjoyed the restaurant and bar, both of which offered great food, drinks, and service. The breakfast had a good variety of choices and was a great way to start the day."

"I was weary to stay in a dorm but it was great. It was very clean. The breakfast was excellent and filling. The staff were so nice. It had a lovely safe family feeling. I loved the area. Right across from Tate. It was handy to many tubes - the walk to Blackfrairs tube is actually much quicker with shortcuts that Google Maps doesn’t show. Luggage storage in a giant room with others but they take your name and give you a number - have to show ID to pick it up so very safe. Kitchen you can use. It was extremely hot, but anyplace without air con would have been during the 30 degree heat. Ask for a fan at the desk for a wee bit of a reprieve, but still hot. Quiet where it is, but lots of action just around the corners. Great value for London."
