"An excellent two night stay at a location we hadn't visited for some years. Our dog-friendly room was really clean . Evening meals were good. Breakfast was not included though we think it is provided at other times of the year. There was however a very good cafe and shop next door that served breakfast, coffee and snacks. We will be back to both establishments in the next few months"

"We arrived at 19.00 to what we discovered were planned loud & disruptive road resurfacing works right outside starting that night for 3 weeks between 19.00-04.00 each weekday. We called the owners who had been aware and had placed a laminate of Council plans in the property info pack. But neither they nor s-y-k-e-s had informed us in advance so that we could either cancel with a refund or request a move to an alternative property which is the customer-oriented way to manage this situation. Very disappointed that they had a special curry and pint offer where you couldn't have and alternative drink and when we ordered the curry anyway we were charged £20 without the beer wheras it was £15 with the beer!"
