"The property is beautiful. Our room was lovely—very clean and comfortable. The seating in our room was perfect for reading, and the balcony an extra treat. Allen was so gracious and helpful. The location was great for dinner plans and a short easy drive to Churchill Downs. Breakfast was delicious—especially the biscuits and gravy. "The Brown Hotel is beautiful! It is like taking a trip back in time when you walk in the door.I love the architectural grandeur of the whole place, the elegant carpets, drapes, furniture, and paintings. The staff is so friendly, from the person who greets you at the door to the servers in the restaurants. Two of the meeting rooms are named after famous racehorses- Citation and Secretariat. "Beautiful home with updated modern amenities while keeping the historical architecture intact. A must see and stay while in Old Louisville. Comfortable room and bed. Will definitely return!"

"For one of the best It lacks alot. The customer service agents at the font did not know much about the city. Also there is no market place to pick up water or any where to shop if you forgot anything"

Great self-contained room with everything Nulu has to offer on your doorstep..1st night there was some live music going on at across the street at Taj bar which kept me awake , but apart from that little bump i cannot fault the room... they have lots more in the back further away from street so worth checking. Excellent stay and will def return if im back !!"

"Such a lovely building, clearly loved by all who work there. Information about the property, check-in procedure, etc. was communicated very clearly before my arrival. Fresh lemon blueberry scones were there for a snack when I arrived near midnight. Wow. When booking, I didn’t think about the lack of elevator at this property. My 68 year old knees did complain a little when climbing the external & interior stairs with my luggage."

"We booked a room with two queens but received a room with king and pullout. No sheets for pullout and had to ask several times for the sheets and pillows. Shower had no shampoo and again asked a couple times to fill up shampoo. Once pullout was set up For bed there was no room to walk around. Went to make some tea in the breakfast area the “hot” water container was cole water. It was a good location to our activities."
