"Nice clean"

"This was one of the largest, and quietest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. The staff was helpful and I utilized the hotel shuttle extensively b/c there were no rental cars in town due to the Electric Forest EDM Festival. Has a huge pool / spa (indoors) and checkout and checkin was a breeze. They are currently renovating and the kitchen / bar is down, but plenty of restaurants and two malls within walking distance. Try BJ's and Al-Bo's."

"I truly enjoyed my stay. The room was cozy and comfortable, it's a very quiet area convenient to stores and food. There's a walking trail behind the hotel, and indoor pool. Staff was very friendly and eager to help at every turn. If I'm ever near Portland, MI again I'll definitely stay here."

"The room we chose was large, so we were surprised on how small the toilet/shower room was - very hard to move around in it. We had absolutely the lowest water pressure at a hotel we have been to, and the staff did not seemed concerned at all about it - don't know if all the rooms were that way, but so frustrating!! One of the elevators wasn't working so we took the stairs most of the time, and the ice machine on our floor was out of order so had to go up or down to other floors for ice. It does...

"The room I was assigned had an unpleasant odor. I explained that to Casey and she immediately assisted me in finding another, acceptable room. Casey was great! Travelers should know that Sparks by Hilton is a “no frills “ motel. So no note pen or pen in the room. No coffee pot in the room. Be sure to grab a cup from the 24 hour coffee area near the lobby because there isn’t one in your room. The breakfast was a self-serve, minimum selection continental breakfast.
