It had amazing view with excellent rooms. Owners were the staff and they were perfect. It was located in a charming small town and food at The Old Bank was excellent, too. We like to visit again

Fabulous hosts Richard and Robert welcomed us into their home. Amazing views to the coast. Great walks available. Nice food in town. We loved our stay.

Beautiful property, room, service, and a magical view over the charming village of Lynton and the Bristol Channel. Breakfast was amazing. Park your car up at the property and don’t drive the rest of the time. Walk down to village for great restaurants and shops (and up again to return…yes it’s a steep hill, but a lovely walk). Valley of Rocks/coastal path is 15 min walk. Walk down to Lynmouth, take cliff railway back up. This was our favorite stay on our trip through Devon and Cornwall.

We would very highly recommend staying here, the owners were really lovely people, very attentive, the breakfast lovely with plenty of choice, the room was lovely, very comfortable bed, with the extra little touches, like WiFi tablet to use, biscuits tea coffee etc.

Highcliffe House has a magical blend of location (impressive views in a charming ‘seaside’ town close to top restaurants and desirable trail heads), ambience (Victorian charm and elevated decor) and comfort (luxurious linens, heavenly beds, good-sized rooms with lots of extra touches). Add to that Richard and Robert’s warm hospitality and, of course, the scrumptious breakfasts and you have a must-experience destination. As a solo traveller, I particularly appreciated the thoughtful, attentive service. Richard took a genuine interest in making sure I experienced the very best of the Lynton and Lynmouth area, offering excellent suggestions for dining and helping me weave must-do activities into my stay. Just as importantly, my dining table and room assignment were top notch. My five nights at Highcliffe House were exceptional and a highlight of my UK adventure.

Superb location. Probably highest house in Linton.

Unequaled views, across the Bristol Channel to Wales. Bedroom (bed in particular) was magnificent and the breakfast was top quality. Attention to the little details made the place extra special. THOROUGHLY recommend a stay at Highcliffe House!

Luxurious B&B, wonderful owners.

I honestly cannot fault this hotel. Beautiful views, very tastefully decorated, incredible breakfast and all in a very good location. Jason was extremely helpful, always welcoming and very professional. The room we stayed in was beautiful; recently redecorated in a modern way yet had beautiful antique furniture and a bed that could easily fit four adults. It's very evident that a lot of hard work has gone into the building, and I would genuinely love to go back.

Spitzen Unterkunft mit allem drum und dran. Unser Zimmer hatte eine wunderbare Sicht über das Dorf und zum Meer. Sehr gut und ruhig gelegen. Stilvolle Räume zum relaxen. Getränke jeglicher Art stehen zur Selbstbedienung bereit.

Stunning Location - Great Town

The location cannot be beat. The hosts were informative, caring, friendly and very good in the kitchen. The towns of Lynton and Lynmouth were both wonderful. The views were breathtaking from house. It was a memorable stay and we will be back.

Perfect hotel and hosts

What a stunning hotel, everything about it is perfect. Jason & Neal made us feel so welcome with nothing being too much trouble, they should be very proud of what they have at Highcliffe. The rooms are beautiful and the location is breathtaking. The breakfast was a wonderful selection of local produce and was absolutely delicious. The only downside of our stay is that we didn’t stay long enough!!

Lovely hotel with outstanding views!

We stayed for two nights at the Highcliffe and the rooms, food and welcome were first class. This hotel is beautifully kept. The owners have taken great pride in all its aspects. It perches high on the hill beside Lynton and gives great views all round. We will certainly be going back there again.

Stay was perfect. Only downside was approach to Highcliffe. I didn't receive directions by email and sat nav took us down a VERY narrow lane where we got stuck for an hour and a half not able to open car doors. If it hadn't been for a kindly gentleman passing we would have still been sitting there. Car damaged so it wasn't a good start but holiday turned out to be lovely. Future guests need to make sure they receive an email from proprietors so this doesn't happen again. It was s nightmare!

Excellent place to stay

Warm welcome, large comfortable rooms. Superb breakfast, well cooked. Mike and Karen really looked after us.
