"The room was very clean and spacious, temperature perfect. Food amazing, staff very friendly and welcoming."

"We were so impressed by this hotel. We only paid around £60 and had a lovely clean, modern room with tea and coffee making facilities. The only negative I can think of is that the carpet is a bit threadbare in the corridors but that made no difference to our experience. We were lucky to have a view over the lovely marina. The staff were ultra friendly and helpful. Free parking very close by and bars and restaurants also very close. I would highly recommend this hotel and I am just about to book...

"It's a student halls of residence. If that's what you're expecting I would imagine you'd be very happy with the room. If you're expecting a hotel, it's not a hotel. It was exactly as I was expecting. Comfortable, no frills, perfectly fine for a one night stay for me. Wifi was great. A little bit of noise at times, it's student accommodation, but not too noisy by a long way. I recently stayed at the IBIS in Bristol and that was far noisier. Would happily book again for a short stay."

"Fairly typical mid range travel hotel. Surprisingly quiet considering the location on a motorway services. Pros: Quiet. Given choice of rooms. Second lock on inside of bedroom door. Comfortable bad. Cons: Some items were run out at breakfast. Not the best quality of breakfast. Cost quite high. Some black mould in the bathroom. Overall ok but would probably find somewhere else in the future."

"Booked very short notice late in the evening and was greeted by a friendly staff member, who I had spoken to on the phone and advised where their free car park was situated, bonus for Chepstow. Linen etc was nice and clean as was the lovely new looking bathrooms. I realise an older property, but feel in 2026, could definitely do we a makeover, remove those horrible carpets, and stop the creaking floor boards, change your mattress's. Rooms need to be sound proofed as could hear a very loud TV...

"We had a good stay at the Sloop Inn. Lovely friendly staff. The best breakfast. The property is a little dated, and the bed isn't the most comfortable, but it was all good for a one-night stay. Would recommend."

"Staff were super friendly and we had everything we needed for our stay. The only slight downsides were that you can hear a lot of noise from the road and people walking down the corridor, thin walls and windows! The room also smelt slightly but not horrendous"

"I loved the Village feel, proper little pub with loads of character. Staff were were friendly from the time I booked in. Breakfast was amazing and tasty. My room was cosy very quiet had the best night sleep in a long time bed very comfy."
