Enjoyable stay as always. Staff was very nice. Clean rooms. Just hoping that they would put proper exhaust system in their toilets. Not sure if this goes true for all of their rooms but our room had no visible or audible exhaust fan but had a small window that opened to outside.

Close to restaurants, near the man made beach. This is good enough for just overnight stay. No amenities, but clean and friendly staff. Has ample space for parking. Safe and busy area.

Great value Hotel in Manila

Booked 5 rooms for a group of us, no trouble locating the hotel and free on site parking. Check in was quick and easy, the rooms were basic but clean and tidy and the bathroom was a good size with a great shower so overall very happy with the stay considering the cheap cost of the room for the night.

I have nothing negative to say about my stay and the hotel itself. Everyone is courteous and professional, the room is what I look for, no-frills but has the basic things I need during my stay. I plan to book again soon.

Stayed here last minute at around the same rate as the hotel. It was convenient and a lot of restaurants are nearby. However since it's within the bars and red light district, it tends to get noisy. I could hear the karaoke all night.

I could check in early since I arrived way too early but of course, they charged me an additional fee and late checkout, which I really don't mind. The staff was helpful and friendly. To those parents who have kids and love to swim, this hotel has no pool.

I have stayed at this hotel since it opened in 2016. It is clean and well maintained, but you have no phone or fridge in your room. There is a 24 hour 711 in the hotel. This is a very stripped down basic hotel and now you have to request for your room to be cleaned each day you stay!!!! That is a step too far for me as the price is not lower and I consider this a very basic service when staying in a hotel. This area is also very overwhelmed with street people begging for money constantly and aggressively.

Firstly the hotel is NOT in Ermita as stated, but in Malate. It has no restaurant or bar, hence no eating or drinking facilities. There is no room refrigerator, hence no cold water or other refreshments. There were no bathroom extras like hard soap & other toiletry items, only liquid shampoo & conditioner in shower dispensers. Also no toilet paper holder, just a loose part roll of poor quality paper. The TV remote control was damaged & not working. Otherwise, the room was very clean & tidy. Overpriced for a room with very little else to support our next stay in Manila.

Warning to fellow travelers: Avoid Expedia & HOPP Inn Manila I was booked into the wrong HOPP Inn location in Manila via Expedia — meant to stay at Makati with my group, but ended up booked at Ermita due to confusing listings. Tried to cancel via the Expedia app (which failed multiple times), and after 45 mins of back-and-forth with hotel staff and slow online support, I was told to pay again directly and get a refund later. I did exactly that. But once home, Expedia denied the refund, claiming HOPP Inn Makati said, I was a “no-show” — despite chat logs and hotel staff confirming the switch. Both Expedia and HOPP Inn have failed to honor the agreement made at the time. It’s not about the money — it’s about principle. I was misled, inconvenienced, and ultimately ignored. I won’t be using Expedia or staying at HOPP Inn again, and I hope this post helps others avoid the same dishonest treatment. #Expedia #HOPPInn #TravelWarning #CustomerServiceFail #TravelTips

The Hop Inn is my go-to when flying in or out of Manila. It has everything I require for an overnight stay (good bed, good pressure on the shower, clean) and is in a location that has a lot of various options on foot or by short distance taxi/trike.
