"Sadly nobody was around to check us in so we were waiting around in the lobby for a while trying to find a member of staff. When somebody finally arrived she was gruff and unwelcoming. The property and grounds are beautiful. The room was very pleasant and comfortable but unfortunately there was zero hot water so both my daughter and I had the joy of a freezing cold shower in the morning. "Room was cleaned daily. Rooms in need of a bit of TLC, only one handle on a lot of the windows should 2, making it more noisy. Carpets in the rooms could do with a clean. Staff was friendly and efficient. Food although limited menu was nice. Would stay again."

"Property on main road but still a very quiet location. Staff very welcoming and rooms clean. Well maintained and adequate size. Breakfast was included which was a bonus and was the usual uk buffet style. Staff were overworked and we had to wait for a table to be be cleaned as it was busy but this was quick. Overall very good value for a nice hotel and would stay again if in the area."

"Rugby match was being played and the car park was full even though there were security guards on checking in your staying, in the morning the car park was empty. The bar and restaurant was full so paying guests could not get food"

"No wi fi available. . Room basic, with bed ,1 plastic chair ,1 plastic stool no sofa. No amenities apart from a Kettle, no cups but were given.2 paper cups and t and coffee when asked at reception. 2 bath towels but no hand towels. Tiny bar of soap and 2 sachets of shower wash. Bed rock hard and very uncomfortable. When stripping bed in morning, to save cleaners a little time , discoverd why we were pulling at the quilt all night...it was a single quilt sideways in a king sized cover! ...

"The is small but very clean Staff were very friendly and so helpful I had no car so I didn’t need a car park. Air conditioning was good for the this time of the year."

"Staff so friendly and helpful. Found room quite warm in the day but in evening was able to open windows fully to get some air in (stayed in April). I imagine would be very hot in summer even with fan provided in room. Walls are very thin, not a problem for me as thankfully my neighbours were quiet but I know other people were not so lucky. Was able to do me a vegan breakfast in the morning which I was happy with. I would stay again if I was in the area and needed a good value place to stay. "
