"What a charming property. Small, well located, parking and breakfast! The room was clean updated with a well appointed bath. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were like silk. Breakfast was convenient and had a variety of items individually portioned. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, an excellent place to stay in Newport!"

"I enjoyed the stay so much. My room was stunning. It was clean,big, and very comfortable. You are given a code to get through the front door and a code to get into your room. It was very easy. Such a beautiful place the best place I've stayed in a very long time."

"Hotel was beautiful! Location was prime. Weather was pouring rain for our stay so not great. Meredith the Concierge worked wonders getting us a reservation to our top pick for restaurants 22 Bowen. It did not disappoint! We used the hotel’s large gym before an amazing dinner. Free WiFi required a bonvoy membership (which is free) but slightly annoying."

We expected better service throughout the weekend I had called 3x to confirm that a crib will be in our room upon our arrival as we were going to be there close to our son’s bedtime. I called to confirm on our way to the hotel as well, and they said it was already there. Going to our room, it was not and it took close to an hour to get one, throwing our sons entire bedtime off. "Poor service and waited an hour after standard check in at 4 pm for our room to be ready. After entering the room, which should have been clean, we found something quite disgusting on the bed so if the sheets were changed this item would not have been there. The room was obviously not cleaned. We ended up not staying at the Viking and checked into another hotel and had a great experience. The Viking was very disappointing after the so called “renovation”. We will not be visiting the Viking...

"If you are looking to stay near Bowman’s Warf this is the perfect place. It’s quaint, quiet and the breakfast is delicious! They were so helpful and friendly and I will be returning! This Inn is in walking distance to the free trolley service and shopping."

"We were celebrating our anniversary here and the womanbat the front desk blessed us with a king suite upgrade, it was so nice to have the extra living room space! Driver of the shuttle was very nice and the staff at the hotel and restaurant were top notch. Restaurant was great, way better than I thought based on the "diner" vibe."
