"All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a decent size but looked very worn-out. Only one bath towel when we got there, but to be fair they gave us another one and apologised about it. The breakfast was OK but nothing special. The room was great, a good size, clean and well maintained. The grounds were gorgeous. The Manor House is beautiful. The golf course was good and well maintained. "Very good overall. . Like a lot of hotels, the food is good but overpriced. The location and view of the river from some rooms is fabulous. Staff are friendly and try their best for you. Unfortunately I booked last minute in order to get a peaceful night’s sleep and the fire alarm woke the whole hotel at 3am. Great that it worked, but there was no fire! Water had leaked into the sensors somehow (the weather was windy and wet that night) so after we all trooped out of our rooms in pyjamas and...

"The breakfast was very good for buffet with cooked options. It’s well located for Winchester but not a hotel with charming views and paying for parking on top of room charges needs looking at. Why not make it inclusive ? A fridge in the room and capsule coffee maker would be more useful than a safe. "
