Hotel Mewah di Marathon

"The villas were not as described in Expedia. No blackout shades. Don’t plan on sleeping late. Window treatments broken and a lot of light comes through. The golf cart pickup is spotty at best and the villas are a long hot walk from main resort attractions. There was a family of 40 having a photo shoot behind my villa and set up camp there for 4 hours. Sitting on our porch steps as well. Called to complain and security never came. There was poop in the lagoon….i think it came out of babies...

"We enjoyed being on the first floor with a large walk out porch. Housekeeping was inconsistent and it was difficult to communicate with non-English speaking staff. We had excellent service at Mahina for dinner, but I would not recommend eating here for breakfast. This property was marked as VIP with the potential for a room upgrade if available but the resort said no, they do not honor that for Expedia bookings, book a different way for this benefit. They should communicate this to Expedia if...

"Let me start by saying this property has a potential to be wonderful. The layout and water sports were fantastic. The first night we arrived. The shower was dripping loudly and we had to try to shut the door so we could sleep. We complained at the front desk and they text us a link to say we had to contact maintenance ourselves. The maintenance person did not show up to the next day and all they did was tell us that we had to take the extra handle and lay it on the ground so it wouldn’t drip....

"The "suite" was a single room with a king and pullout sofa, there was no separation. So if you are traveling with children be aware that this is the same as a double queen at any other hotel room."
