"Great hotel. Staff were good but let down with restaurant weekend staff that could have done more. I kinda felt they didn't make an effort asking a colleague or finding out to andwer my questions instead of just saying "I don't know" Got my simple request wrong 3 times which was a shame. In the end I didn't insist anymore as I felt will just add to my stress."

"We had a wonderful 2 night stay at The Crown Inn. The location is perfect and easy to find, parking was simple in the car park opposite. We had the four poster room which was amazing. Very spacious and a massive bathroom too. Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. We loved our stay "

"The mattress is way too soft. And in no world a bed smaller than queen size (160cm) should be allowed to be called a two-person bed. Otherwise the room was ok. The breakfast is nothing to look forward to. Also the dishes are not very clean "

"This was our first visit of the property under the new name and branding. The redesigned foyer and common areas are appealing and well designed, our family room was clean and comfortable and nicely put together in terms of style. The restaurant area is less successful in terms of design and we would not rate the breakfast above average. However, five stars to the entire breakfast team (open kitchen included) for their warm hospitality. "

"Lunch was wildly expensive but breakfast was good. It would have been helpful to know we were on the 3rd floor no elevators and tiny circular stairs. For those with some mobility challenges it’s a hike!"

"Quite pleased with service all around. I checked in early and there was a fee but not what other hotels in area are charging. No food available until 5:00pm. That’s when restaurant opens. Food choices were good for evening meals "

"An unfortunate experience of poor service in an otherwise pleasant, perfectly located hotel. 1. Reception do not pick up calls and it takes 4-attempts before they answer. 2.The room phone was broken. I advised Reception that I wanted to order Room service and tried calling with my mobile but no one picked up. I had to take my toddler out at 19:30 in search of supper. I specifically stayed in the hotel to have access to room service. 3. The room phone was never replaced / fixed. So check out...

"Overall the property needs updating, it was very clean when you consider that it does need a lot of work doing to fetch it up to a good standard. However good value for money and comfy beds."

"Nice stay, great host, breakfast excellent, parking excellent, small room but absolutely fine for what we needed. Shortish walk to town and back, bus service available but we just walked. Definitely would stay again."
