"Cruising from Tilbury so looking to drive up from Bristol the day before and find a nearby B&B. Found the Campanile on Expedia based on price and distance. Read the reviews and thought "How bad can it be?" Well - not bad at all! Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room for the night and extremely comfortable bed. Close to dual carriageway but we didn't notice any traffic noise. Evening meal a bit "ready-meal" but a great breakfast and late check-out if you want it. Will definitely stay again...

"Staff is really helpful and friendly with good knowledge of local stuff to do and see. The room was nicely designed. Bed was fantastic. Comfortable, clean and linen was soft and well ironed. Shower was great with high pressure and hot water, carpark was quite tight but free of charge! Breakfast was perfect! Dinner at their restaurant/ pub was very tasty and very well made and fresh. "Stayed at the Ivy Hill Hotel for a couple of nights visiting family for Christmas. An excellent hotel for a quiet break but within easy reach of London. Staff were fantastic. We had an evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast - both very nice. We were given a room upgrade and it was more spacious than our previous visit - very comfortable. Would definitely book again."
