"Rooms clean and common areas. Free coffee should run longer in morning. Not a huge fan of the self check in. Seemed impersonal, do want to feel like someone was there and attentive."

"We were surprised about the sharing of the bathrooms. Never done that before. But there was one bathroom that had a big window in the shower. Realized there were more bathrooms and that made it better. It was so close to everything downtown. It was small but we basically used it to shower and sleep. So I would book this place again for sure."

"The room was quite dirty - there was pee all over the seat when I arrived, the walls are all heavily scratched and generally it just feels like an old kind of gross feeling room. The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable but the rest felt just old and run down overall. Most of the elevators were not working so you also have to wait a long time for the elevators."

"The room was TINY but I guess that's to be expected in NYC. The shower water could never regulate and was usually scalding. It was very close to Times Square which was convenient and the staff was very nice. Overall, considering we only slept in the room, it was fine."

"Evelyn in reception was excellent. Very thorough and professional. Room was very dated. Air conditioner was hot when we arrived, eventually it cooled during the first night. AC did start leaking onto the rug, we notified reception desk our second day there and upon leaving. Beds were very comfortable. Ultimately if you dont care about luxury or amenities, this hotel is very close to times Square and Broadway."

"Well sited for Downtown Manhattan. The restaurant has a limited menu but lovely staff. The room was very clean with great air conditioning. Breakfast is self serve with a good choice. The lifts take some time on occasion but otherwise work fine(there are many floors!)"

My room was very comfortable, although showing a bit of wear and tear (knobs missing from lamps, a small tear in my bedspread, older and not particularly well-functioning soap dispensers in the bathroom).
