Hotel Forza Sapporo Station

"Hotel Forza is very conveniently located in central Sapporo, about a block south of the main train station. It is easy walking distance to several popular spots such as Odori park, the TV tour, the clock tower, the red brick building, and Nijo market, as well as the subway, lots of shopping, restaurants, and the underground city. Rooms are small in comparison with typical hotel rooms in the USA and lack desks and storage space, but in typical Japanese custom they are spotlessly clean. They have the Japanese electronic bidet toilets which are great, and the shower/tub is essentially a small room itself and are very nice. The breakfast buffet is great -- it is mostly Japanese / Asian style with a minority of western influences. There is a wide variety, some daily changes, and the quality of the food is high. Breakfast includes a soft-serve Hokkaido milk ice cream machine. If you add some of that ice cream to an espresso for a local version of what Italians call an affogato or Austrians call an eiskaffee, it makes a great start to your day. We didn't interact too much with the staff. They were responsive to requests for water, extra towels, etc., but in modern Japanese fashion check-in and check-out are done using self-serve kiosks."

"Emion is the best hotel I have ever stayed in Hokkaido, although the location is a bit far from JR Sapporo, about 8 minutes walk from the under pathway. The hotel is very clean and provides the best amenities. I will definitely stay here again if I come to Sapporo again. Highly recommended!"
The Royal Park Canvas – Sapporo Odori Park

"Room was clean, design was pleasant, and the view of Sapporo TV Tower was a highlight! We appreciated being able to choose which amenities we wanted (loved the face masks and skin care products) and the food/beverage coupons for if we decided not to have full room cleaning. It’s great to have incentives for environmental conscientiousness. The extra sofa bed was fairly roomy and comfortable for the third person. Having a record player was a neat experience, and the borrowing process was pretty easy to figure out with a good selection overall. The main lobby was well decorated and a nice place to enjoy a drink and some late night food. Staff were helpful and friendly, thanks for helping forward my luggage! The location is fantastic, right next to Odori Park and only blocks away from shopping and entertainment. Subway station exit comes up by the hotel, but unfortunately there was a lot of renovations so it was quicker to just walk to Sapporo Station. Only downside was not being able to use the rooftop patio, which I was really looking forward to. It was closed to guests for the first two nights for a private event, and then it rained every evening for the remainder of our stay. While we didn’t get the evening fire experience we wanted, the daytime view of the tower and park was nice. Overall, a fantastic stay and would love to stay here again on a future trip."
