"Paid what I thought was quite a premium price for two nights stay here. Actually paid an extra £40 to upgrade room and given the quality of the room we got I am glad we did. You know when the owners of a hotel are sweating the asset when you immediately notice the smell of cleaning detergent, cheap bedding, no plastic bags in bins, wafer thin toilet paper. I immediately concluded this must be a hotel owned, ultimately, by Private Equity and BINGO via Warner Holidays the ultimate parent is...

"Staff were good, and the place is clean. We have stayed there many times before, mainly booked for work trips.
However, this trip I was placed in room 105. It’s a room adapted to be disability friendly, which is not necessarily bad, but the bed is about a foot high. It’s also next to the gym, and the treadmills are on the other side of the wall to the headboard. At 6am, the treadmills started, along with the bass-heavy music, and there was to be no more sleep for neither myself nor my...

"The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. It was rock hard and the duvet and bedsheet felt like very poor quality and the duvet cover felt like an after thought rather than being properly fitted. This all made it very difficult to fall asleep on top of the constant surrounding traffic and airport noise."

"The room itself was very quaint as it was situated in the old hall.
The bathroom let the room down entirely, the cabinet mirror lights did not work, and the cups in the toothbrush holders/stands looked like they’d not been cleaned/washed in months (clear remnants of toothpaste/water stuck to the bottom)."
