We think the 9/10 and the 10/10 reviews of the hotel are very misleading and we should have looked more carefully before booking. "I didn't have breakfast. However, whilst the room was tidy the pillows were like concrete blocks. Also the bathroom had damp and fungus because they dont have an extractor fan. The room also are in need of decoration. I paid £89 and i wouldnt say it was worth £30. Disappointed. Whilst the lady on reception was polite and courteous i wont be staying there again. I work in Leeds a few times a year so i will put this on my 'do not use' list of properties."

"This hotel was excellent. The decor was lovely, it was clean, the staff were exceptional, and the food both breakfast and dinner was fantastic. The location was great, walkable to anything you may need. I’d recommend this to everyone staying in Leeds."

"A generally fine stay with some real positives: the staff were lovely, the room had good facilities, the bed was very comfortable once I remade it, and the view across the park was great. It was also quiet, and the air‑con made it easy to get the temperature right. A few things let it down: the décor felt a bit tired, shower sealant was peeling, the carpet was stained, and the kettle was scaled and awkward to fill. The main issue was the bed presentation — several inches of mattress were left...

"Central location yet quiet. Good access to the city centre for shops, bars and restaurants. 1 minute walk from the train station. Clean room with a comfortable bed. Friendly staff. First time we've stayed here but very likely that we'll stay again. We couldn't work out the TV as it seemed to want you to log into or create an Amazon account but all good apart from that."
