"Really enjoyed our stay there. Unfortunately the lift was out of order but the staff were really helpful in bringing our cases up and down the stairs! Staff were friendly. Atmosphere was great. Would definitely stay there again and have recommended it to other friends and family. Interesting historical background too."

"The room was clean (aside from some strange marks on the carpet) and had everything you’d need for one night. The breakfast was amazing, especially considering it’s included in the price! The bathrooms were very small and not the cleanest and there were no fans or AC which wasn’t ideal given the heatwave. On the whole I’d recommend but not for any longer than 1/2 nights."

"Wir hatten zwei Nächte im Revolver gebucht. Bei Anreise (immerhin nach 16 Uhr) war das Zimmer nicht gereinigt. Wir mussten erstmal darauf hinweisen. Der Kollege an der Rezeption/ Bar hat sich gleich gekümmert (er kann sicher am wenigsten dafür) und auf Nachfrage haben wir zumindest mal ein Freigetränk für die Wartezeit bekommen. Das war aber auch das einzig Positive. Der Müll wurde geleert, die benutzen Handtücher kamen weg. Ob das Bett wirklich frisch bezogen wurde kann man nur mutmaßen, so...

If you’re looking for character, guitars to play, comfy places to sit, and an unpretentious spot with access to the best of Edinburgh, this is your spot. There’s a great co-op across the street with organic produce and lots of vegan-friendly food. That’s a plus."

"Wir hatten 3 Nächte in einem privaten Zimmer gebucht. Die privaten Zimmer liegen alle außerhalb des Haupthauses in einem anderen Gebäude. Die Zimmer, die Toiletten und Duschen sind alle neu und sehr schön. Das Ganze Gebäude scheint neu Renoviert zu sein. Man bekommt den Eindruck eher in einem Hotel zu sein. Zimmer sind groß und geräumig, viel Platz und Sitzgelegenheit. 4 Toiletten und 3 Duschen für 6 Zimmer sind mehr als ausreichend. Besonders zu loben ist die Küche. Auch alles neu und die...

"Close to public transport, friendly staff, nice chilling area with water supply."

"There was no elevator and we had to take the luggage up the steep stairs. There was no air conditioner and the windows barely open to let the cold in. The open windows let all the scream and loud talking from the amenities area, you could barely sleep. The toilet and the shower was no divided and everything got wet, moreover the water from the shower did not drained maintaining the water still, not very clean sharing this with strangers. DO NOT STAY HERE."
