"The place was very good located. Very safe location and really close to main attractions. Surrounded by restaurants, and stores. Amazing views from the common areas. Breakfast was simple but cheap, just what you're looking for in a hostel."

"I am a senior male travelling Solo from Toronto, Canada - here on an annual 1 month holiday I take, since early retirement. This year I visited UK for my first time. Edinburgh was the last part of my 1 month exploring UK, and Kick Ass Greyfriars was an exceptional accommodation. Staff were great, lodging very comfortable, I suggest buying their breakfast. I will recommend this hostel."

"I really enjoyed my stay here. I was in room 17 which is on the top floor. One toilet/shower room and one shower room on my landing meant I experienced no queues when needing to use the facilities. Great sized kitchen, lovely seating areas inside and out to enjoy your meals or a wee chat. I was staying here for work purposes and truly did enjoy my stay. A few reviews online I read before arriving gave me anxiety but these people are so ridiculous and imo over exaggerating. I feel if you grew...

"Stayed for 3 nights in the all-women room. Everything was clean, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. If I could suggest a few improvements, it would be to add some extra shelving in the bathroom, a full-length mirror, and shelving or a hanging area/locker space in the bedroom itself. "

"Belford was my first night in Edinburgh and it was super chill. An easy walk from Haymarket station, the 24/7 check-in was really nice. I had a lovely private room (only 4 of those, so book early!) and the staff were super friendly and kind. It was a chill, well-stocked place right besides Dean Village and not far from West End and their nice bars and cafes. "
