"We chose the hotel and paid a premium price as the Village Hotel groups have excellent facilities such as pool, sauna, jacuzzi available at low additional costs. However. this Village Hotel in Edinburgh has a maintenance issue with their pool and it was closed, and there was nothing to advise the public on the booking platform that for the dates we chose this was the case."

"Fantastic location, just a block off Princes Street by the Scott Monument! The staff are phenomenal, so friendly and incredibly helpful. A huge thank you to James, Evie, and Jamie, who were always on hand to chat and assist with anything we needed. While the hotel experienced a few growing pains with the HVAC (one of our rooms ran a bit too cold, while the one next door was a little warm), it didn't take away from a great stay. "Great location and super-helpful, friendly staff with nice seating area in reception. Room was pretty small and shower not in the greatest condition with walls fairly thin. However, bed was comfortable and A/C effective. The carpets were really badly stained throughout the public areas giving it a real seedy feel despite being a relatively newly-refurbished hotel. No real issues but wasn’t good value for the price paid and probably wouldn’t stay again."

"Great location, friendly staff. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. The location was excellent for our visit to the Fringe and our favourite place, the Grassmarket was two minutes away. The room was rather warm but opening the window onto the main street brought in a fair bit of noise. The shower/toilet rooms were clean. However, the shower was fixed with no scope for movement, and the spray went right over me, without really getting me wet (I'm 5'1" tall or should I say short)."
