"I recently stayed at LEGOLAND Hotel California in a Pirate-themed room, and while my kids were initially very excited, the experience started off on a disappointing note.
Check-in is advertised at 4:00 PM, but our room wasn’t ready until around 5:30 PM. Unfortunately, the staff didn’t seem particularly concerned or apologetic about the delay, which set the tone for the stay.

"A really, really great deal! We had an excellent veiw of the ocean and a nice, clean, and updated room. For an older reasonably-priced placed, really impressed. They had some communal beach items for use which really helped. Easy 10min walk to the beach a few blocks away, some with the restraunts/shops on the main drag. Parking was easy and availalbe. Quick response from houskeeping and free snacks and coffee in the office as well."

"Beyond gross , the sheets smells used. Our deadbolt was broken and the manager said they couldn’t move us because they were sold out . We looked online for a room and that was a lie. We didn’t make a huge deal about it we decided to tough it out over night. In the morning we woke up to massive cockroaches on the walls !!!! Manager refused to refund !!!!"

"A one day getaway is good enough for this place honestly nice lake resort with good restaurants nice pools. Staff some were good one of them was just lazy to do anything for us but overall the rest of the staff was very nice. A lot bugs from the lake tho. The coffee shop they had at the resort was never open although it said they’re open 24/7 I went couple times during the day and it wasn’t open"

"Overall it was a really nice stay, we didn’t spend much time in here aside to sleep. Some of the reviews scared me saying it was a scam, dirty, etc.. but i didn’t think that at all. Our room was super clean, renovated, staff were friendly, provided towels, so on and so on. I think the only thing for me was the bed frame is like springs it’s a bit squeaky but nothing crazy. Overall, we would stay here again! Close to stores, food, freeway, it’s also in a very nice area! "
