"For a cheap style hotel located on the far outskirts of Hanoi it was surprisingly good. The rooms are large, air-conditioned and have two big double beds (hard matresses) and a small private bathroom (a bit run down but good hot water). Room even has a smart TV....but that's about it. Located in a very quiet street but very limited food options, especially after dark. We used it as a stop over from Cat Ba to SaPa which was ideal. Much better than the over populated and way too busy Hanoi Old...

"We were 3 of only 5 people in the hotel so services were at a bare minimum, which sucked for us. The place looked fresh and new, which is hard to do as things age quickly in Vietnams climate. "This hotel likely had not been stayed at in at least a year. The owner was also not aware we were coming after we had made the Expedia booking. He was very kind and made it work, but this hotel, as well as the entire neighborhood around it, is completely run down and looks as if the town was shut down a decade ago. All the surrounding buildings are overgrown by the jungle, boats are half sunk into the lake, no restaurants open except two a long walk away and it appears it's only for locals and...

"After driving through a typical Vietnam town we pulled up to the property and were amazed. The grounds are vast and full of sculptures any many available activities, including biking, boating, a zoo, an opera house , a chocolate museum, and several restaurants throughput the property. At check-in we were greeted by a wonderful staff that seemed even excited to meet us. Lan, Luong,and Huong couldn't have been nicer!
