"We had a pleasant two nights at The Kings Arms Inn, which is situated in a charming medieval village on the outskirts of Yeovil. The Inn is nicely medieval too with plenty of character. The room was very clean but we were disappointed that the room wasn't larger, as we understood it was bigger than the room we had last year, when we brought our dog. "Unfortunately, no A/C in room, which is not unusual, but on a very hot day for England, the bathroom towel racks were in full heat and almost boiling. Neither we nor the hotel manager could shut them off. One single fan provided little/no relief and room temp was + 30c degrees and never got to a comfortable temp overnight. Open windows didn’t help much. Almost zero sleep. Couldn’t wait to leave in the morning. Shame as the room and bed were otherwise good. Just couldn’t enjoy either. Big...

"The Superior Double room was very comfortable, fresh and clean. The vanity area outside the bathroom was super convenient as was the number of outlets for charging tech. Staff were helpful and friendly. Parking was a short walk away but there was a drop-off zone next to the entrance. Great for our one-night stopover."

"NEVER STAY IN THIS HELL HOLE. even the welcome mat had a 3 foot hole in it lol the room was old, ripped wall paper, many things was broken, the furniture was old and broken. most and I think illegal, due to fire regulations was the windows was restricted to opening 3 inches, with blocks and screws, we would have had no fire escape if the fire was on our 2nd floor landing, We had no sleep in the two nights stay as it was over 40 degrees in the room with no air paint flaking off radiators,...

"Good location for strolling around Langport with its cafes,independent shops , gardens and river walks . The library is very close with an outdoors area . We had a room in the courtyard , good in the heatwave . Sometimes had to park further away in town car park ..still free ,though in autumn 2026 may have to pay . Staff helpful ."
