The room was beautiful, with butler service that was super nice. We did not like most of the food, too oily, too greasy, felt like a mass production, no taste, swimming in sauces. The drinks were so so, they did not have any mint the entire 5 days we were there to make drinks. Most drinks were too sweet. Very often they ran out of wine, they ran out of food as well, 3 days they ran out of smoked salmon in the morning, in the afternoons, they ran out of lamb chops at lunch. They also did not have dinner buffet at our hotel most evenings, we had to go to the sister resort for dinner buffet. It really did not feel like a 5 star resort. We spend a lot of money and were very disappointed. We were there for New Year's Eve and it did not feel festive or holiday vibes like some other resorts we have stayed at for the holidays. Decorations were minimal. Will not return and would not recommend to anyone. We visited a store there and purchased few items that I had a very difficult time returning. The store stated that they have no refund policy, that was not listed anywhere in the store. Very sad and fraudulent. Eventually they honored the return after we got the managers involved.

Ambiance was lovely. However, I got burned during breakfast on the back of my hand when taking out the spoon. Signs need to be posted. It only takes one person's experience to see a need for something to be in place that's not in place. Disappointed that the bag with the towels were NOT complimentary. Lost a couple stars.

Room had black mold in the bathroom. Room phone did not work. Housekeepers never leave enough washcloths even though we ask every day. Dining staff was great. Dishaun, Kimmie and shanae made our time pleasurable. The resort still needs time to get back to what it was 2-3 years ago

So many wonderful things about this resort. Check-in was quick and seamless, we arrived before our check-in time, we were given wrist bands to enjoy the resort until our room was ready. They have a change room if you need it. Everything was clean and fresh. Activities were plentiful whenever you needed them. Staff was quick to help. Food was always stocked and you never had to wait for than a few minutes for anything, if you had to wait. The only disappointment was the specialty restaurants, you never knew if there was going to be a 2 hour wait or you could go in immediately. This made dinner plans difficult. Japanese food was good. French and Italian were not good (my opinion). Surf and Turf was just ok. The best bet is going to the buffet. Food is always stocked and tastes delicious! I would recommend his resort every single time. A winner for any vacation you plan.

Beautiful property but we had to rush and scramble to find shelter after the hurricane came and we couldn’t get better accommodation than 25% which still put us at over $400 a night and the airport is closed for the next 4 days. We were with a party of 35 people and feel because it was an act of nature, we could have gotten a better deal so that we could have shelled in place. $1600-1800 is a lot to pay after we already paid over $4000

Good experience at this resort. The food options were good except for the buffet. The food offered pool side, the steak, and hibachi restaurants, the day of the beach barbecue was delicious (especially the beach barbecue and at the Jamaican restaurant off the beach. Room service was even delicious! The staff were very helpful and accommodating! They made for me celebrating my birthday with my family a very memorable occasion. Pros: Food options, the drinks alcohol/ non-alcohol were good, beach is clean, has plenty of chairs, beds and umbrellas. Entertainment was good. Staff accommodating and very nice. Views from resort are beautiful. Our daughter had a pool view that was beautiful and we had an ocean front that was also beautiful. Cons: Our initial ocean front room was on the 4th floor where the balcony doesn’t have a roof that completely covers it. It’s the rainy season so it was hard to enjoy the balcony due to the furniture being wet. However, the resort did accommodate us and moved us to the 3rd floor where the balcony was covered and we were able to enjoy the balcony. We truly appreciated that! The snacks in the room are not individually wrapped and are in reusable containers that are refilled. I am all for preservation for the eco system by not having excessive waste, however, I am curious how often and how these containers are cleaned and filled. Sterilized reusable water bottles are given for you to drink. Bring your own water bottle to fill at watering stations.

This is our 3rd time at the Grand/Joia. 5 years ago this hotel was stunning! We felt like celebrities. It’s still a nice hotel but has lost its wow factor. The rooms need a refresh and the beach has way too many sea weeds. The service, food and entertainment is still good. The Staff is A1, always attentive and aim to please.

The whole 10 days we spent there was amazing! The staff was always great to work with and talk to. Spa was amazing . This was our second time are this resort and we will go back again for sure!

I want to tell you how horrible it was so you will never want to go, because I want to keep this gem all to myself! The moment you exit the vehicle you are treated like family. From the front desk to the restroom attendant’s. The food, the music, the drinks, the people. All Amazing and Beautiful from the inside out. So in short I do NOT recommend you go to JOIA Rosehall. I want to keep it and all if it’s beauty to myself!

I would not consider this 5 star. Although the property is beautiful, clean, well maintained grounds and staff is amazing, the food needs work. Quality of the good is very inconsistent. Some days it's excellent, some days overcooked, and that goes for all restaurants and room service. Not a big fan of how the pressure you into meeting with their representatives to try to talk you into their Interstate membership (basically like a time share presentations). Our concierge guilted us into saying yes for accepting the presentation and was dishonest on the whole process which was supposed to take place, once we found out the truth on the presentation we backed out at the last minute. This really left a part of our overall experience disappointing.
