"I’ve stayed at Ocean Gate Inn several times when visiting my son at UCSC, and the staff has always been kind and professional. One thing I really appreciate is how they go above and beyond — I’ve arrived as late as 1 a.m., and they’ve called to make sure I was still coming, which shows great customer service. "I would like to commend the front desk agent. I checked in on Sunday October 26th around 5pm. During the drive we found out our daughter who is a student at UCSC wanted to sleep in a real bed. So I was checking in my wife thought it would be funny to interrupt the agent when she said king bed. At that moment my wife says very loudly CHANGE to TWO beds and side eyed me. Agent casually looked at me and without missing a beat started searching for an available room with two beds. Awkward as it was...
