Beautiful hotel. Some areas are getting a little old looking but they are planning to go under renovation soon. The beach is beautiful. The pool area is a little small but still nice.

The property is nice but it's dated. The location is wonderful. However like all of the island your food options are very expensive and limited. The hotel staff are fantastic but the property is getting long in the tooth.

A wonderful resort with great amenities. My husband and I stayed in an overwater bungalow. It was quiet and relaxing, with beautiful views and so many fish to see while snorkeling. The sunrise and sunset at the beach were beautiful. There was a variety of different cuisines at the buffet, and we enjoyed the dance show at dinner. The Polynesian massage at the spa was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Overall, our time at the resort was one of the highlights of our trip.

We stayed here during our honeymoon for 3 nights in a beach front bungalow. Can’t recommend this place enough. This was our 2nd favorite lodging during our trip where we stayed at 7 different lodgings (only behind one of the 5 star resorts on bora bora). If we visited again we would choose Sofitel again over the other resorts on Moorea offering OWBs. The staff was incredibly friendly our entire time there, and all food options come highly recommended. Do not be cheap and avoid the resort breakfast - it is well worth it. The room was very clean & we had easy access to the nearby lagoon where we had some of the best casual snorkeling of our trip. One of our highlights at Sofitel was the beach front romance dinner through restaurant K - we were picked up from our bungalow at our reservation time & dropped back off after. We also had an amazing spa session while there. The only downside for the short term is part of the property was beginning renovations when we were leaving (including the spa moving to a smaller location on site with potentially more limited offerings) in late October. Overall we would 100% stay at Sofitel in the future again.

Wonderful for snorkeling (and we did a lot of snorkeling in the world) and also a relaxing vacation. Food was also good and staff was professional. The room is ok but ocean view buggalow is not ocean view when they do not trim the plants/trees. We could barely see the ocean.

The most beautiful location anywhere above water. Underwater took a snorkeling scooter tour that was amazing: awesome colorful coral, reef fish, turtle and ray. Also enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding in the idyllic lagoon.

The property was beautiful. We had the least expensive bungalow (one night after a cruise) which was amazing. The room was large with a separate area behind the bed for dressing. The bathroom had a walk-in shower that could open into a garden.

The chef who was making the omelets was super friendly and he was sharing his good energy right at the beginning of the day. The snorkeling directly from our room was breathtaking, I enjoyed every second of this hotel. My partner and I saw 2 rays, 1 shark and 1 baby turtle directly at our room which added some magic. Simply the best. I can’t compare to Bora Bora but definitely the best hotel I had in my life.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Trash cans not taken out around the property, limited beach access (limited beach chairs). Some staff were rude. Rooms were great tho!
