"Lady across from the building was throwing food to the seagulls on the roof outside my window. Very noisy! Also a used syringe was on the roof. Otherwise the room was good. No tv but great bed with a fan."

"Nice location within 5-10 minutes walking to Akureyri downtown. Ample street parking. The building exterior needs painting. The unit is updated with flooring, bathroom, and kitchens. However, it is a basement unit and the entrance to the unit is undesirable. You have to through a short side door and walking down into the basement."

"We were there for two nights, and the first night was OK. Noisy location, with people yelling on the street right in front of the hotel until 1:00, during our second night at the hotel. Then heavy machinery started operating on the street at 6:30, during one hour. Earplugs made no difference. The same night around 22:00, there was a fire alarm, that made us go downstairs to evacuate the building. On the first floor at the bar and restaurant also serving as the hotel reception, life continued...

"The location is very good - close to the city center, but far enough to be very quiet and peaceful. The views are amazing. The hotel room was large - much larger than rooms in any comparably priced hotel in Iceland and in much of Europe. The facility and the rooms are updated, clean, and functional. "The hotel was well located with a wonderful view. It was designed nicely and the bed, pillows, and bathrooms were all comfortable. It was quiet. I would definitely stay here again."
