"We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel in Tokyo! We were traveling as a family of 8 (ages 9 to 80), and it was incredibly family-friendly and comfortable for all of us. We booked two rooms, and both were surprisingly spacious—something that’s really hard to find in Tokyo. Each room had a small kitchen, dining table, and four well-oriented, comfortable beds, which made a huge difference for our group. There is a public laundry area in the hotel, which was very convenient. Washing costs around 500 yen, and drying is about 300–400 yen, which worked out really well for our longer stay. The onsen on the top floor was amazing—a true lifesaver for our legs after long days of walking. The location is excellent—about a 5-minute walk to the Yamanote Line, with lots of restaurants nearby, a Lawson convenience store, and only an 8-minute walk to Ameyoko Street. The paid breakfast was decent—while the selection wasn’t huge, it had enough variety and was satisfying for our family. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. They assisted us with a booking mistake (we accidentally missed a night) and also helped arrange our luggage transfer smoothly. Overall, a fantastic, family-friendly stay—we would definitely come back again!"

"I think if I was a 12 year old kid or a huge fan of Godzilla I would have been over the moon. However, I was on a business trip and while it was adequate for sleeping I lost a lot of time trying to work as there was no desk. The internet was slow, and there were no upgrade options. Overall if you are on holiday it's a cool place to stay, but for business definitely pass. The breakfast was at the Sizzler and I passed because there are great restaurants all around the area. It's clean, but the rooms are extremely small and it was always crowded in the lobby. Staff was friendly and seeing the Godzilla head was cool and all the membarbila was interesting. Would I stay here again? Probably not, but nothing bad to say about the experience. Overall a nice hotel centrally located in the heart of Shinjuku, but if you are staying here it is because of the Godzilla let's be honest! "

"Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious for Japan standards with three beds and space for three full sized luggage. Only thing was the dust. In the room and public spaces like in the elevator, on top of tv stand, towel racks - there was obvious dust build up. "

"I chose to stay at Nohgu Hotel Akihabara because I wanted to stay in a different part of Tokyo and the hotel did not disappoint. The hotel is located minutes away from the main streets of Akihabara, 5 or so minutes’ walk from JR Akihabara and Suehirocho Station, so it was very convenient to get around Tokyo. The hotel was like a quiet oasis from the hustle and bustle of Akihabara. The hotel had decent sized rooms, with a separate section for the bathroom. The shower was very roomy and had good water pressure from the rain shower head. The hotel provided amenities such as a fridge with bottles of water, tea and coffee, slippers, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. There are also amenities downstairs such as toothpaste/toothbrush and a comb, most other amenities such as a plug converter are available for free rental by request at the counter. The plug converter was much needed by me because they had the two-prong power plug and I had the 3-prong plug. The beds were comfortable; however, the pillows were quite soft. The rooms were quiet, I could not hear my neighbours making noise, the only time I heard noise was at 5pm when some bell for a school went off. The hotel had a great pizza restaurant downstairs; the pizzas were so delicious and one of the best that I had eaten. There was also a delicious affordable ramen place across from the hotel called Kyushu Jangara, they had menus available in Japanese, Chinese and English.
