"My husband and I have stayed at the The Newport quite a few times over many years. We always have appreciated the location it’s in. We have noticed with our recent visit that the hotel is starting to shows it age and could use updating. Our TV seemed old and was not working well. Also the foyer light was out."

"We booked motel 6 about a month out for the marathon but through a third party and when we arrived we were told that there might not be a room for us because it had been overbooked. Thankfully, we secured our room (which had already been paid for) and moved our things in. The motel is clean for the most part and the grounds are well kept. It was nice to have a back of motel facing view because even if it was a parking lot, there were a few trees and it was much quieter. On that note, it is important to know beforehand that the walls are very thin. A women's rugby team moved into the room next to ours the night before the marathon and we could hear everything as clearly as if they were in our room. They were very receptive when we asked them to lower the volume. The man running the desk was very accommodating despite having to manage several overbooked clients without rooms, and the room was clean if not a little heavily sanitized."

"The staff went out of their way to be helpful even when they were extremely busy. The room was beautiful and spacious. They were also so kind and welcoming to our dog (with patience and biscuits!) We would definitely come back for another stay! "

"The owner and who I think might be his daughter are so sweet!! The room didn’t have ac during the time I was there, but that was okay because the window did open, and it was 46° at night!! The property was prime location and great parking!! Overall a great stay!"

"When we arrived, they had no record of us and were sold out as was the rest of Newport. We had a confirmation code and whatever else we needed. Expedia was no Ended up finally finding a place to sleep in Massachusetts believe it or not."

"The Brenton Hotel is absolutely beautiful! It’s located in such a great central Newport location right on the harbor and mi kids loved the free ice cream in the pantry! My husband and I loved the cocktails- they were along some of the best ones we’ve had in recent memory. We can’t wait to come back. "
