The New Inn

10/10 Excellent

"From arrival to departure, staff members were friendly, helpful and courteous. We were greeted warmly, escorted to the cottage where things were explained to us and shown. It was toasty warm and spotlessly clean. Very generous tea, coffee, milk and biscuits which were gratefully received after our drive. We opted to have dinner in the pub and that was excellent too: competitively priced, varied selection on the menu, good sized portions and well timed for serving. There is a room in the Inn with pool table, dart board, and tv quiz trivia board so plenty to keep you entertained, as well as a good size television in the cottage. After a very comfortable night's sleep, we had a fantastic breakfast and again, there was plenty of it! We would definitely return here if, and when, we are back in the area, and cannot praise the staff highly enough. It was a wonderful stay. Thank you."

"We just loved our stay from start to finish. Karen is so welcoming and warm. We just couldn't fault it. Delicious breakfast surrounded by antique furniture on stone flagged floir, sparkling silver teapot. Cooked and served by Karen whio couldn't do enough for us. We forgot where we had booked for dinner and Karen' spent ages trying to help us find the correct pub! One word - go!"

Very well equipped and lovely decor. 15 min walk to Kirbymoorside couple of pubs for food We liked George and Dragon best Several other pubs for food within 15 min drive Excellent Chinese takeaway. Coop supermarket just down road Superb position to enjoy both coast and Yorkshire Park. Internet could drop at times but very common in this area Excellent walk in shower Lovely host Outstanding value for money We will come again but only one little thing found pillows very soft and would bring our own. I think this is personal It was exceptional and would recommend to any couples"

"Definitely a 5 star B&B. Lovely big room with terrace seating outside, overlooking the sheep and guinea fowl in the fields. Loads of parking. Very clean and well presented. The owners have pretty much thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and feel homely. Breakfast, with loads of choice, is cooked freshly to order in the area that serves as a bistro on several evenings in the week. We ate at the bistro - 'Feather and Beak' on one occasion and the food was outstanding. The owners and staff are very pleasant and helpful. In fact, Expedia somehow made a mistake and booked us in to a room for 3 nights when it was only available for 2, and the owners managed to juggle things around to accommodate us. Excellent all round."
