"Basic lodging that met the needs of our party of 7. We were in building 53 (upstairs) and there is no real lounging space but the bedrooms are spacious. Basic soap provided and some tea/coffee. Beds were comfortable but as others have mentioned the floors can be loud but slippers are provided to help the noise. The building is close to the main area where shops and restaurants are so definitely loud at times…earplugs can help."

"Unfortunately, it seems that all hotels are pricey in Iceland. This one is no exception. However, the property is lovely, spacious, nicely appointed and in a perfect location. The only inconvenience was the noise on the street which prevented us from keeping the window open all night."

"Room was immaculate, but the hallways etc were just ok. “Luggage storage” (shared) suitable only for bohemian backpackers. Would be nice to be a little more flexible with the (purchased) late checkout. Kitchenette was handy but no eating utensils provided. Mini-fridge was pretty good-sized."

"Hard to get used to the 'contactless check in'. No humans around. The apartment was adequate, but there were a few things that should be addressed. I needed to iron a dress, and, yes there was an iron, and an ironing board that would sit on a table. Except that there was nowhere in the apartment where I could plug in the iron and use a table for the ironing board! I would have to rearrange the apartment. Also, the outlets in the bedroom were only accessible by crawling under the bedside tables....

"This was a reasonably priced hotel of course all hotels in Iceland are expensive- the staff was great and the room was nice and the breakfast buffets was delicious. We would definitely stay here again"

"We had the Two-Bedroom Apartment - Bergstadastraeti Twelve unit. The location of the apartment was excellent, right in the downtown area. There is a grocery store around the corner. The unit itself was very clean and a good size though I will say the description of Bedroom Two of 'One Queen Bed and One Twin Bed' is misleading - our plan was to use this bedroom for Three (Two adults and One child) so the living area was not a sleeping area. However, Bedroom Two included a bed plus a fold up...

"The apartment is very conveniently located with lots of restaurants within walking distance. There is also a P4 parking with a 5 min walk away. The areas just in front of the apartment are all P2. We never parked in the building so don’t know how that is. We never had an issue finding parking close. The rooms are clean and having a washer and dryer was a lifesaver. We never heard any noises from the neighbors so I am assuming the walls are very well insulated."
