One of the highlights was the rooftop—it’s a great space to relax, and the food there was surprisingly good. Overall, a very pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend it."

"This a fantastic hotel/ryokan hybrid with excellent staff, an amazing onsen and a kid friendly vibe. The breakfast buffet is a must and there is daily ice cream in the afternoon in their relaxation room. The location is great, walkable from the underground east exit of the Kyoto station. The hotel is no-shoes and they provide all guests with comfortable pjs to use in your room and around the hotel. They have coin laundry so don’t over pack. Believe the hype, or, better, keep this place a wonderful secret. Come prepared to embrace the Japanese culture of quiet, kindness and beauty."
