"Location was everything for us, just a 5 minute walk to Ninezaka area filled with beautiful streets. Kiyomizu-dera and other temples/ shrines super close by. Only a 15 minute drive to train station and Nishiki Market. Was such a good spot to stay while getting out of Tokyo for a few days. "

"The hotel was excellent and I enjoyed my stay there. It was in a convenient and central location while I was in Kyoto for a few days for the first time. The staff were very kind. The hotel room was a comfortable size for my partner and I, and the hotel was able to smoothly assist us with transporting our luggage to the next hotel for our next destination. I would highly recommend staying here!"

"Located conveniently to the Gion district of Kyoto, a relatively short walk to Kiyomizu-dera, and also Pontocho and the modern heart of Kyoto. Big, comfortable beds, and modern meets old world style. In-site onsen and bar, what more could you want?"
"This hotel is very impressive! It’s located near the Kyoto station, around 5 mins walk. The room is spacious, clean and have everything you needed. The breakfast is one of the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. It offers a lot of variety option including fresh tempura and sashimi, etc. The hot spring is also very good which includes 4-5 pools. The hotel also offers free coffee at the lobby, ramen from 9-11pm as well as ice creams. I will definitely come back! "
"Would highly recommend this property and Guin as a location to stay while in Kyoto. Quite a bit to see and learn in walking distance, the staff was very helpful, the view from the room of the temple bell tower and bath was amazing. "
"Our second stay at the Celestine and was just as amazing as our first stay in 2023. They staff was amazing in setting up dining reservations in some of our favorite spots in Kyoto. The breakfast team deserves a raise for all the hard work they put into an awesome, and tranquil dining experience. The onsite spa is the perfect way to rest and relax after walking through multiple cities or towns. They truly understand their guests and what it takes for them to have a magical and tranquil experience."
