Excellent choice of hotels! The rooms were immaculate, and clean towels were delivered to the room daily. Bonus is the laundry room: 500 yen (use 5 x 100 yen coins) to wash and 100 yen to dry. On the bottom floor is a Starbucks, also with a friendly, helpful staff. This hotel is a great find!

The property is in a nice section of town and within walking distance to public transportation. The room and the kitchenette were clean, but somewhat small and our clothes needed to be stored in the suitcases under the bed but it served our purpose. Communication with the staff was somewhatstaff speaks very little English. Overall we would stay there again .

Stayed as family with children in interconnected room. A/c worked well. Could do with a refresh in carpets smelled cigarette smoke when walking through corridors. The lift doors kept closing and were dangerous, many guests complaining.

Great location, right in middle of Gion. Close to everything. Short walk to 2 subway stops/lines. Close the shopping district, just across the river. Lots of stores and restaurants close by, small alley ways w local places to eat and shop. Rooms are clean and well appointed. We had adjoining rooms, good space, comfy beds. A bit firm but still comfy, same w pillows. Not the super soft fluffy kind, but Ok for me. Breakfast was good. Small, but lots of choice w some English/American options and nice Japanese/ local offerings. More than enough to start the day. Would definitely stay here again when I return to magical Gion, Kyoto.

Comfortable bed. Clean room. You have to step up into the bathroom and down to get out which could be a problem if you have knee issues. Location is good. Breakfast was priced high for the selection. We didn’t take it for the second morning. We were able to sleep with our window open which was good because we did not have control of the AC, and it cooled down enough at night that the outside air came in.

We were a family of 4 traveling, so we had 2 adjoining rooms. The hotel is well situated to walk to restaurants and historical shopping areas. Even though cleaning services are not provided every day, their system to exchange towels is very efficient. We enjoyed our stay and would use APA again.
