"Hotel staff was kind but short with communication. The hotel was clean, but you could tell that it had a high turnover rate of customers. The lobby was very updated and welcoming. I would like to add that the toilets are very loud when flushing and you can hear people flushing their toilet from another room."

"We’ve stayed in various Colonial Williamsburg properties over the past 50 years. We were disappointed with the Woodlands. The parking lots were filled with potholes and we had to dodge a few to get to our building. The elevator was located off the lobby which required walking a long distance once we reached our floor. A more centrally located elevator would have been much nicer. The room was comfortable and clean. All in all, it was ok, especially for one night, but we won’t stay there again."

The price was excellent and worked especially well since we were looking for a place that was simple, mainly a place to rest and sleep at night. "Fife and Drum is a wonderful place to stay in Williamsburg. The location is amazing because you can walk to the museums and restaurants. Check in and parking are very easy. The place itself is charming and they always have drinks and snacks available in their quaint dining area, as well as delicious breakfast options. We stayed in the Restoration room, which has somewhat odd decor, but on theme for the area. The only negative for me was the bed. The mattress was too hard for my back and it made...

"Great pet friendly hotel with great location. The breakfast was good. We noticed some fruits and veggies were not as fresh. The avocado toast was not good due to old avocadoes and tomatoes. The cantaloupes looked like they were ready to be tossed. The plates and eating utensils - some were wet and had old food stuck to them. The pancakes, hot omelettes and other items were very good. We would choose this hotel again!"
