"The suite we stayed in really needs updating. The shower did not match the luxurious description on the website. The carpet was in need of replacement. I literally found a large, dead roach right by the foot of the bed upon check-in -- how was this missed by housekeeping? The tvs and remotes were very difficult to navigate and internet slow. I removed the top cover from the bed, as it appeared as though not washed and used sheets and a cotton blanket. The windows really needed cleaning and...

"The hotel is relatively clean, although the curtains in our room were stained and the walls and carpets are showing their age. The mattress was uncomfortable. There was plenty of food for breakfast, but it's of typical institutional quality. There were always scrambled eggs and either bacon or sausage, two make your own waffle stations, a few varieties of cereals, breads, muffins, donuts, and yogurt, and orange and apple juice. "What a treat to get to stay in a historic building in Colonial Williamsburg! Our room at the old tavern was very comfortable and we loved taking our morning cup of coffee out to the back porch and then walking through the still streets. In addition, the staff at the Williamsburg Inn went above and beyond for us during our stay. "Spark is a nice mid level hotel. The rooms are small and hard to maneuver in. When we walked into the room the cleaning crew left a bottle of cleaning chemicals on a side table that I did not notice at first, I don’t have a small child but if I did I would’ve been concerned. And our A/C rattled so loud it would wake me . Prolly won’t stay there again"

"The room was a little dirty, the floor was a little yucky (as if there was a pet previously in the room), the ceiling fans were dirty, so we didn't turn them on. A blanket was stained however the front desk immediately brought a new one. The fireplace wasn't working but the maintenance guy fixed it quickly and was very nice.
