Shiga Kogen Prince Hotel
Entire property has been neglected. This seems to be the norm in Shiga Kogen. Not clean at all. We cut our stay short because the hotel was intolerable. For the price they should do much better.

Chisun Grand Nagano
Two things really stood out: the convenient location (about a five minute walk to the train station) and the delightful breakfast on the 12th floor with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.

Conviennent location and helpful staff. The included breakfast was great too. Very handy for us as we had an overnight stay on the way to ski resorts after arriving late from Tokyo.
