"The view room shown on the website is misleading. It’s a lounge / bar that had a dress attire requirement. I was thinking you could sit and sip some morning coffee and enjoy the views that was not the case. We had views of the downtown buildings from our room on floor five. . A little dissatisfying. The shower leaked all over the floor causing a slip hazard and room was still dirty with crumbs on the floors. The beds were comfortable however and clean from what I could tell. I would say for the price you can definitely find a better place to stay. Maybe one with a view."

"It has been years since I stayed here and the hotel has undergone a fantastic renovation. I recommend staying in the new wing - it was pristine and the decor reminded me of the Greenbrier."

"Amazing location, so close to foods, drinks, & things to do. You have to pay for parking, but it was worth it. We left our car in the ramp and walked to so many different locations. Room was very clean and spacious. Everyone we ran into was so nice and friendly. Front desk especially. I felt welcomed every time I entered. I would 100% stay again."

I had booked it through your app for around $230 per night, and when I asked them at the hotel, they told me the second night had become more expensive!!! "This is my second year in a row staying at this beautiful, historic hotel. I love the area and easy walk to many local restaurants and shops. The hotel restaurant, Elsie's Daughter is so original. Like no hotel restaurant I've ever experienced. Look forward to seeing the Choo Choo again in 2027!!!"
