One of the reasons I booked this property instead of an Airbnb was the expectation of basic hotel amenities and comfort. Unfortunately, the hotel advertised having a bar and restaurant, but neither was actually available during my stay. This felt misleading from the start. "The hotel is modest, but beautifully updated and very clean. Our room had a kitchen, laundry facilities, and a very nice bathroom. The bedroom was small, but I’ve seen much smaller in Central London for double the price. Staff were very kind and allowed us to store our luggage for a few hours after checkout so we could do a bit more sightseeing before our flight."

At these prices and with such poor service, you'd expect at least a bit more friendliness. And you have to pay an extra 25 pounds per day for room cleaning. Awful! "For a whole apartment with kitchen and four rooms, this was good value in the under ninety quid range. It was clean. The only thing that lets it down is that the third party agencies you might see it on, including this one, don’t have the right number for the host.
