The room was clean. Just a few dents and dings on the walls. The price was great! The little kitchen was appreciated. Our room lacked a coffee maker, but there was an electric kettle. Easy walking to restaurants, shopping, and the subway. If you want to experience the east village, this is the place to stay!

Nice room - exactly what we needed. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchenette was great, perfect for breakfast or packing a picnic lunch to eat in Central Park. Location was nice -lots to do in the area and accessible to subway. We did not find it particularly loud but we were visiting from a busy city/area. We did not get a chance to test the TV as we were too busy. Would only say that it would be nice if the kitchen had a few more dishes (2 of everything). Entry into the lobby and room was very easy. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to others.

El servicio debe mejorar muchísimo. Estuve de 10:30pm a 1:30am esperando que me dieran acceso a la habitación ya que la puerta no abría. La experiencia fue muy negativa.

There were a few things I didn’t realize when booking, they weren’t deal breakers but I wish I had known prior to booking (tbf I might have missed it). It’s a 4th floor walk up, I was on the 3rd floor but rooms are assigned at random. It’s a staff-less hotel so the check in process is to send a door code at ck in time-3p. By 10 after I hadn’t received instructions but they were emailed after I texted. When I travel by myself, this process always makes me concerned bc I don’t know how many people have the code from before me, but I brought some safety devices with me and it was fine. The front door code is sent as well but the front door was unlocked during my whole trip (again, staying by myself, I didn’t love that). All of that would have been fine but the room was Very lightly cleaned. Luckily I travel with alcohol wipes so I was able to clean all the surfaces, and with not much effort at all the wipes came back dirty on almost all major surfaces. There was a dried contact on the floor by the bed that I could just pick up off the floor with a tissue & a package string on the floor of the bathroom so the floor wasn’t cleaned at all in between stays. There are a couple of convenience stores on the corners where I was able to get water, coffee & cheap ‘hotel socks’ because I really didn’t want to walk barefoot on the floor, even in my socks. I have never wished I packed slippers so much & couldn’t find them anywhere around the hotel. The neighborhood is cute though.

L'emplacement est idéal car à l'écart de la cohue du haut de Manhattan mais proche malgré tout de tout. Pleins de restaurants à proximité et de supermarché. En revanche dans notre logement, le lave vaisselle ne fonctionnait pas, le frigo faisait énormément de bruit, l'ouverture de notre porte ne fonctionnait qu'une fois sur 4 et l'insonorisation de spas de l'appartement du dessus était inexistante.

We enjoyed our stay at EVH. It was close to our son’s apartment as well as the subway and great restaurants. The area was totally safe and the staff we did see were very friendly. It was nice having a kitchenette. A suggestion would be to provide maybe some paper towels for the kitchen area or more than one kitchen towel.

Love the location, and the hotel itself may be minimal but great value and surprisingly even includes a kitchen. It basically just feels like a studio in the East Village, which is wonderful to experience.

This was the sweetest little hotel in the most perfect location. The contactless model was honestly very efficient and seamless. It’s basically like having your own tiny studio apartment in the East Village.

The hotel was able to meet my request for a lower-floor room. The amenities in the room were fine, and the surroundings were relatively quiet. I had some trouble with the mini fridge. First I couldn’t get the door to stay shut, then after I got that worked out, it froze my foods. I did have trouble with the door lock. It is a keypad and I always had to enter the code several times before I could get the door to open. That was frustrating.

Our daughter is at NYU so it was a great location. It is a little more work with no lobby and being able to leave your bags but we paid a great price.

There is no person on staff at the property and so when our room lock was broken we were locked out in the hallway for over an hour late at night. Other than that it’s a decent little inexpensive nyc stay.
