"Property was nice and clean. Parking lot right besides the house. Restaurant downstairs to dine, which unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to make it to. I was bummed, a lot of locals said the food was delicious! We stayed there for a wedding. Rooms are small basically just a room and bathroom. Not much walking room but we just stayed there to sleep and shower so it was fine for us. And all I cared was that it was clean, which it was ! Only recommendation is to put a full length mirror for...

"I should have taken other recent reviews to heart. The property is overgrown; the path stones are broken, and weeds grow right under my patio doors, making them difficult to open.
I received a message saying no one would be there to greet me, but that a packet with information and my room keys would be on the front desk. I arrived around 1:30 and found the envelope with my first and last name and my room displayed on the front. So much for privacy (or safety). The lobby has a musty/mildew...

"What a wonderful site to see all the lights outside to welcome us after riding 55 miles on our bikes only arrive after dark. The hospitality was unsurpassed welcoming us in with our dirty bikes into their lobby and getting us a lovely table by the fireplace. The food was truly out of this world. The prime rib was perfectly medium rare and my scallops were seared just right. The penne was so flavorful we ate until we were ready to burst. "We were at the Avon Inn for a very brief overnight stay, motivated by history behind the institution. As the sole remaining hotel from Avon's history as a destination for its springs, it is still the center of a lovely small town. Service was friendly and efficient and we would have been glad to spend another day or two there."
