Dakota Newcastle
Room was a bit dusty the mirror, the lamps and the phone. The sink also had hairs in it when we arrived. Apart from that it was good, spacious room comfy bed fresh towels. Staff was great too very helpful and attentive.

Negatives: Very dated and unclean room. Split drink all down the side of the bed which hadn’t been cleaned and bottle/food under the bed. Was also a noise buzzing constantly all evening, I had to turn the air conditioning on to drown it out. Queen size bed in room was very uncomfortable. Very bad ...

Copthorne Hotel Newcastle
Spacious room complete with 2 easy chairs and a table. Bay window offered clear views up and down the Tyne....sort of like being in a cruise ship cabin.

Maldron Hotel Newcastle
Only a 10 min walk from the train station. Easy to find. Good sized rooms and clean. Bed a bit small, soft and sunk to the middle but fine for one night. Great breakfast.
