"The reviews of this place are incredibly polarizing. Some people think it is the worst place they have ever seen. Others think of it as a twee little time capsule, an example of the pocono mountains in their former glory. The truth is a bit in between, though it is, in cat the worst place I have ever stayed. (And I am a sucker for cheap motels) You can see evidence of its former glory. It seems kinda clean, but it is very run down. Whoever runs this place has done a number of shoddy repairs....

"We really loved our two night stay at the inn. The innkeepers were super welcoming and attentive. The original (quirky?) decor was both personal and a welcome relief from boring corporate chain hotels or stuffy “colonial” inns. Our bed was comfy and we had a room with a loveseat, so we could relax there while watching TV. Chef/co-owner Mark Arnao makes a mean breakfast, so don’t skip the chef’s special! "We ended up not staying the night. There was no on site staff. The room was cold, you couldn’t adjust the temperature. The bathroom door didn’t close. The water was ice cold, even after running for 10 or so minutes, as the contact person told us to do. We booked the room with the hot tub, which wasn’t usable, so they put us in a room with a jacuzzi tub, not the same thing. Lastly there was a fitted sheet on the bed, but no top sheet under the comforter, which didn’t feel like luxury bedding as...
