"Great location and friendly staff"

"The room was a nice size, breakfast was good, but you had to be there early to grab something before it was gone, the bed was comfortable. The only thing was it was loud, you could hear everything going on outside and because it was spring break, the kids were out late and it sounded like they were right outside our door. I would stay here again but I would choose a different room or stay when it's not so busy."

"The location is fantastic, we didn't take our car out once. Very walkable everywhere on the boardwalk to The Wedge Park, took the ferry over to Balboa Island and walked around the whole island, the Pier is there with Ruby's restaurant at the end, a lot of food options around, a park next door. All of the staff were so helpful and friendly. The hotel and area is also very dog-friendly so we took our dog everywhere with us. "After seeing the photos, I booked 3days, for my business trip. New Owners have turned the old Harbor Bay Inn into a “Go To” place for a simple, well appointed room. Every room is remodeled (less than 6month as of this review 6-2026). Everything is new! Not just refreshed or painted over. Very impressed. "We had a great time. However I had 2 separate delivery people tell me the Hilton wouldn’t let them bring my food to the room. This was annoying bc my food got stolen out of the lobby on the second time I ordered it. The staff acted like it was my fault."

"They have a handicapped parking spot that blocks 2 other parking spots and makes it really difficult to pull in and out of the other three spots. And of course a huge SUV was parked in this handicapped spot making it very difficult to get in and out. The room was relatively clean. There were some large stains on the carpet. Everything seemed a little dusty. You can hear all the cars and motorcycles, driving down PCH.So, it makes it a little hard to sleep at night."
