"I paid fully through Expedia yet when I went to go check in, I was charged an additional $81.24 in “taxes”. Nowhere in the listing nor the confirmation email from the hotel did it state this would happen.
Mind you, my total price paid prior to the additional fake tax was $402 (including TAXES and stay protection).
$81.24 is almost 30% of my stay price. How does that even make sense?
So serves me right for trying to go the budget route because between the scam tax + taxi costs because...

"The kitchen is outside which is fine unless you want privacy. The hostess was super friendly when I checked in but scolded me because I accidentally was in the room after check out. I then realized that the clock on my laptop hadn't changed time zones. I was ready to check out, but she was upset. I waited for her to come back for a half hour but she didn't, so I left.

"A couple of friends and I used the rental for less than a day to shower and leave our things somewhere safe while we walked around the downtown area. The host were extremely accommodating even with us only using the unit for a few hours. They helped us get a taxi after 10pm on the 4th of July while traffic was still very busy from the fireworks show.
The property had the most adorable feline security guard."

"We have been to Aruba many times but this was our first stay at the Stellaris/Tradewinds. The staff was amazing... specifically Greg welcomed us on our first day and helped us with our luggage. In the days after he always greeted us with a big smile and hello. We loved the pool area... we actually never made it to the adult pool because we were so happy at the main one.
