"Sarah and Stuart are wonderful hosts, the breakfast is amazing, the rooms are delightful and the bed was so comfy. As always, we were made to feel so welcome. Would highly recommend a stay here in this wonderful home. "

"This is not a criticism but room for improvement So, I stayed in the annex part of the property.The room lacked hotel standards..Very dated and the bathroom was not nice at all. The shower mixer didn’t work and there was no water pressure in the shower. I had either a Cold shower or a very hot shower. Room was ok ish. Patchwork filler on walls not complete. Dated woodwork furniture etc. However, the bed was comfy, and breakfast good. Staff were super amazing. "

"I stupidly asked Gemini " I want to surprise my daughter with a weekend away, the destination doesn't matter the highlight of the trip is the hotel" and The Earl of Doncaster came up, as one of the options on the train route selected The staff were lovely from the off, both front of house and bar staff, but it wasn't the experience I wanted. We stayed in room 215, in the right corner of the room had major water damage, wall paper and ceiling were brown. The bathroom was nice enough, wet room...

"I’d like to say thank you to the very friendly and helpful staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Our room was upgraded with a view of the racecourse and the room was superb. The highlight was a delicious breakfast for £10 when paying in advance. I’ll certainly stay here again when there isn’t racing! "

"Room was ok . Dull dark decor and v small television. Table light worked but wonky and carpet threadbare in some areas . Clean . Check in was not very welcoming , lady seemed rushed and no pleasantries . Asked for more milk which didn’t get . Meal in the evening was good . Sticky toffee sauce was more like weak caramel. Decided not to stay the night so returned home so can’t comment on breakfast. Staff serving meal v good . "
