Location is very convenient in Oxford (there is a bus stop across the street!) but quiet enough to be away from the heart of Oxford (which is a short bus ride away). We were lucky to have had gorgeous weather which allowed us to enjoy drinks by river together with a delicious lunch as well as an equally delicious Sunday roast. "The property was really good. Clean, tidy and well presented. My only issue was that the radiators were not as warm despite being on the highest setting. The bedroom especially was very cold. Another negative is upto now I have not received my deposit back. Surely you should have a system that works for returning deposits back. People are so busy spmetimes one will forget to check that the deposit has been returned back"

"Staff were very nice but staying in the heatwave was a nightmare. The fans provided weren’t very effective (I had to ask for another one which was provided). The rooms were ok but a bit tired- but this is reflected in a reasonable price for central Oxford. I would stay there again for that reason."

"The purpose of this review is not to simply disparage the property, but to help improve it in the future. The cleanliness left much to be desired. The kettle in my room was used and full of water, and the shower curtain was filthy at the bottom. The only positive was that the sheets were clean. In addition, the parking issue was a nightmare; the staff gave no instructions on parking until I asked them about it, and they told me that I have to pay and reserve for a parking space. "Wonderful price and location. Very clean and basic set-up though kettle and tea/coffee provided. The main negative was that the room was a sauna as there was no air conditioning. They had kindly provided a fan but during the UK heatwave this was insufficient. Having said that, if the temperature was normal I think we'd have had a very comfortable stay. Staff were lovely and super location."
