"I was nervous, booking a room which was so inexpensive. But DELIGHTED with the hotel. Yes, there were reasons the price was low, but FOR ME, it was an *excellent* hotel. Enormous room by modern standards. All fixtures and fitting working 100%. Very friendly, helpful, professional staff. Lovely towels, bed linen. Immaculately clean, new, fresh. Delightful location. Stunning NT woodlands and "Devils Punchbowl" only 500' from the hotel. WONDERFUL play area for kids... all manner of things to climb over, under and above. Why will some turn up their noses? And how can the cost be so low? The owners have not gone mad with completely remodeling things endlessly. There is a lack of chrome and plastic, Some carpets are a bit elderly. But it's not all old... hot water arrives in the tap almost immediately. You control the temperature in your room. (Well, if it needs heat. No air conditioning, but surrounded by woodland, I would imagine it rarely gets terribley hot.) And things have not been "optimised" to with a mm of theirl lives. My bedroom even had a CLOSET where the extra pillows and duvet lived. I didn't have a meal there, because that didn't fit my travel plans, but they do have a restaurant. Breakfast is available, and I imagine it would be good."

"Ok if you don't like quirky, this place might not be for you! But I stayed in a family suite called Juliet and it was fabulous. I'm 6'2 and the door into the suite is maybe 4' high, so I had to stoop down - but that opens up into a really nice, spacious suite - 2 bedrooms and bathroom. The kids bedroom is tiny, but cute, the main bedroom is really well appointed. Again, it's quite a stoop down into the bathroom, but a perfectly decent bathroom with nice stained glass window to one side. Nice and warm, comfy bed, quiet. Some reviews criticise the lack of a TV in the bedrooms - I see that as a positive though! You can watch TV at home, why watch it when you're away? The staff were lovely, very welcoming, and the food in the restaurant was great. I'd recommend :)"

"The outside of the property is poorly maintained which wasn’t a good first impression. Inside the entrance hallway is clearly a higher standard. You can see effort is being made to improve internally. In the room the bedding and kettle, tables etc were clean, quality thick curtains & blind, however the bathroom window had to stay open due to the level of mould/strong smell from bathroom, black mould around shower cubicle, window etc. Also the main bedroom window did not have a handle so it could not be closed, this was a front facing room so traffic and general street noise was disturbing through the night. There is no food offering here but a dining table is available to use downstairs if you bring food in yourself. The back car park access is narrow & uphill with potholes, may terrify if not a confident driver. There isn’t lighting cameras and next door wall is part missing so didn’t feel secure, there are 3/4 front parking spaces available. Door entry system for access and welcomed on check in. No one around at checkout a note on table to leave the key on table when leaving."

"This is a beautiful quaint little b&b in a very peaceful area. The host Guy was so lovely, accommodating and makes a delicious chicken curry! I stayed there to watch the Perseids meteor and it was just perfect. The comfy garden furniture and lack of any light pollution made it an amazing experience. The bed was very comfy and the room was nice. I will definitely be back next year to watch the meteor shower again. Would recommend."
