"We loved our stay at Rose and Crown! The staff were so friendly. Our room had so much character, and was bigger than we would have expected. It was quite comfortable and surprisingly quiet (we were there midweek on a slightly rainy day). We also ate at the pub and really enjoyed our meal. We would stay again!"

Great service at check-in and lovely evening meal. bathroom could have done with an update - not quite to the same standard as the bedroom itself. and a couple more hand towels would have helped. view of St Marthas were not so visible due to the condensation on the windows in the morning and the blinds, but we had a wonderful time. might be useful to have a slightly later check-in and later check-out. 10am check-out may be fine for a city...

"Had a great stay atvyhe Hurtwood. Found it by chance. Great village with plenty of walking direct in to the Surrey Hills as directed by the lovely lady who checked us in. Room very comfortable with fresh milk provided. We found the car park easy for a big car, but would not be so easy in season I think. Dinner in the bar was excellent and good portions. Breakfast cooked to order also great. Will go again. Thank you."

"Stayed for one night in one of the standard double rooms. All the staff from check-in to check-out were friendly & helpful, the room itself was perfect (lots of space in the room, has a desk and tv, bed was comfy, shower was a lot bigger then we expected very modern, it had a small fridge and everything was clean). Restaurant & bar downstairs which was really good. Just remember there is no lift (which they state on the listing) if you come with heavy/lots of bags. This was no bother to us...

"Easy check in, spacious rooms with tv in bedroom and lounge, lovely large bathroom with deep bath and walk in shower. Great location however, be mindful that the road is closed as a pedestrian walkway from 0900 but this isn’t a problem as there are parking facilities close by and for me as a blue badge holder there were plenty of spaces close enough. Would recommend this hotel to friends and family. "
